Writers Guidelines 

For Those Interested in Submitting Written Material for
Colorado Kin’s Domains Lifestyle Book Series or Newsletter Articles. 

Colorado Kin’s Domains is creating a series of books with a goal of documenting the transition to and living a domain lifestyle.  Publishing material with the following vision will be considered for the many books and articles planned: 

v    To share personal experience of conscious awareness development and relationship changes with self, others, and nature.

v    To provide examples and experiences, which test or demonstrate the theories proposed by the Ringing Cedars of Russia series.

v    To document and share the personal process of transition from a technocratic life to the domain lifestyle.

v    To document and share the process of the many aspects of creating a Settlement.

v    To document and share research and experiment results related to the settlement or kin’s domain lifestyle.

v    To provide a continuation of the experiences of the Ringing Cedars of Russia series in the North American culture/lifestyle. 

Before submitting articles, please note the following: 

Copyright:  Each contributor to the Colorado Kin’s Domains Lifestyle Books Series donates their copyright to the Colorado Kin’s Domains for the purpose of funding new groups.  All profits from the sales of the books go to the renewing fund, which will contribute to the next Kin’s Domain Settlement.   Articles (chapters) published in the Kin’s Domains Lifestyle Book Series cannot be reproduced elsewhere without written permission from the publisher.  

Payment:  currently there is no payment for manuscripts although a stipend may be offered in the future.  

Editing and Review Of Manuscript:  we reserve the right to edit all manuscripts that we accept for publication for grammar, brevity, clarity and tone.  We will work closely with contributors and strive to produce a final manuscript that satisfies the author as well as the editors.  

The manuscript is to be submitted along with the author’s biography and contact information in MS Word format via e-mail (preferred) to Joyce Morris, or typed and postal mailed to: Colorado Kin Domains, 850 Beech Street, Golden, Colorado, 80401.   

If you are sending a typed manuscript via postal mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope the size of which would fit your manuscript for return or reply of acceptance.   

Biography:  One or two sentences about the author should be included with each manuscript submission.  

Contact Information:  Full contact information – name, address, phone number, and e-mail – should be included.  

Length Of Manuscript:  The length of the manuscript is variable.  Short manuscripts as well as longer manuscripts will be considered.  Keep in mind submissions will be individual chapters in a larger book, so brevity and clarity are desired.   A word count should be included.   

Page Requirements:  Font should be Arial, size 14, double spaced.  Margins of one inch on both left and right, and one inch top and bottom are acceptable.  Separate paragraphs with indentations, not spaces.  If you are sending a typed manuscript via postal mail, please triple space the manuscript.   

Referencing Sources:  Primary sources are more credible than secondary (quotes from the first author in a second author’s work). When referencing other sources, cite name of the work, the author, year of publication and page(s) referenced. 

Photography and Artwork:  If photos and/or artwork are available, please indicate so with your submission.  Please do not send any art materials until they are requested.  We are not responsible for unsolicited artwork.  All images proposed should include a succinct explanation of the subject as well as information regarding photo credit if applicable.
