Mission:
Colorado Kin's Domains has been formed for the purpose of establishing infinitely sustainable "kin's domain" settlements throughout Colorado and North America (on the model presented in the Ringing Cedars Books) that are dynamic, powerful and life altering to the residents and the surrounding communities near and far.

The Many Projects of Colorado Kin's Domains

The functions of our core organization are;

1. To create a demonstration of an infinitely sustainable settlement in Colorado called (for now) Ark Conservation Ranch, so named, because of the symbolism of an ark carrying a lot of people, animals and plants into a new future.  
2. To provide a model of an infinitely sustainable City Domain and the research necessary to support others in transitioning to a harmonious and sustainable lifestyle in urban settings.
3. To provide the research and educational resources to the public and residents of the kin domain settlements in order to support their transition to an infinitely sustainable life style. 
4. To manage a self-renewing financial foundation that supports other groups in creating kin's domain settlements in locations throughout Colorado and North America.
5. To fund other North American groups that are committed to creating an Infinitely Sustainable settlement. 
6. To create a body of information about the process of developing Kin's Domains Settlement that will support others in creating settlements throughout the world.
7. To work with legislators to create laws and codes that allow exploration of a Infinitely Sustainable lifestyle. 

America, today, collectively demonstrates the most unsustainable lifestyle on the planet.  Nearly everyone would like to see this change, but very few believe that much can personally be done to accomplish this change.

We, of Colorado Kin Domains, believe that it is ONLY at the personal level that people will make the transition to infinitely sustainable lifestyle in both this country and in countries around the world, which have followed America’s lead into unsustainable lifestyle.    

The ten largest super dump sites in America have only about 35 years of capacity remaining, assuming our lifestyles don’t increase the amount of trash we generate each year. In America we are drastically over-exploiting our resources.

According to the Redefining Process applied to the Ecological Footprint Analysis, 81 percent of America’s 2001 total resource utilization level was unsustainable. According to the 2003 report of the Global Footprint Network, America typically consumes 51 percent more than is available in our resources. We are able to do that by stealing from our future and from other parts of the world.

Even Findhorn, Scotland, arguably the most famous and successful demonstration of sustainable living modern lifestyle communities, STILL consumes One and a half planets of resources to support the lifestyle of the residents.

In 2007 America’s ecological over-extension was demonstrated by the following:

	93% of our primary energy was produced from nonrenewable (unsustainable) natural resources; only 7% was produced by renewable (sustainable) energy sources;
	90% of our electricity was generated by nonrenewable (unsustainable) natural resources; only 10% was generated by renewable (sustainable) energy sources;
	87% of the non-energy minerals used as raw material inputs to the domestic US production of goods and services were newly extracted (unsustainable); only 13% were either recycled (8%) or renewable (5%).

We, at Colorado Kin’s Domains, are establishing attractive infinitely sustainable settlements that will provide a very public model of living in harmony with ALL of nature and well within the capacity of all of our resources. 

Our plan also provides for public education to help create the collective belief that sustainable living is in the reach of each individual. The Educational plan supports the personal transition process from unsustainable and unbalanced life styles to sustainable and beautifully balanced lifestyles. 

These settlements provide the best opportunity for improving the quality of life in our world. Our current lifestyle is rapidly destroying the quality of our lives and our hopes to feed our population in the relatively near future. If you believe in re-incarnation, our current lifestyle is stealing your opportunities to return to future lives on this beautiful planet.

Privately tended organic plots restore the soil. Planting of trees on two thirds of each plot will quickly re-forest our country. Those little forests will quickly and effortlessly restore the environment’s ability to return and maintain our air, water and soil to its naturally pure and healthy state.

There are hundreds and maybe thousands of communities around the world that incorporate environmentally sustainable elements. Right here in America, in a town as small as Durango, Colorado, there are two existing subdivisions based on consumers’ interest in more sustainable lifestyles, and at least two more in the planning stages. That reflects popular interest in sustainable living, but we will capture that public interest with a demonstration of a truly INFINITELY sustainable lifestyle.

Our plan is much bigger than creating a single successful settlement. We are creating a self-regenerating growing network of infinitely sustainable settlements that will rapidly expand all through North American and eventually beyond our continent.

We are able to take this concept to the next level because of the unique group of people creating Colorado Kin Domains (CKD). In our membership we have extensive experience in business management and development, entrepreneurial training, property development, traditional and alternative home construction, creating community, authors, publishing, filming, healers, all weather wilderness survival experts, Russian language experts, organic farming and gardening, family dynamics, and more. Perhaps our most valuable asset is our commitment to focus our efforts and resources together for a critically important common goal. 

Our Colorado Kin’s Domain team has already created a worldwide network of support and information. It is our vision and our ability to create a demonstration settlement in such a way that future infinitely sustainable settlements can be built easier, faster and better.

Our demonstration settlements can be implemented on any kind of land, and will support each resident in creating not only an infinitely sustainable lifestyle, but a level of beauty and harmony that will outshine the most beautiful unsustainable homes and lots around our country.

These settlements will become the most desirable of places to live and work because they will be beautiful and nurturing spaces to live, where life is easier to fill with joy, as well as restore and sustain excellent health. 

Our self-sustaining kin domain lifestyle is far easier than the life of average adults trying to survive financially in today’s economic consumer structure. The residents of the settlements will, as is the nature of humans, want to share their bounty and knowledge. Humans freed of the mental prisons of day-to-day survival naturally create benefit and value for each other.

This plan provides extensive education … 

	The education for prospective residents, before moving into the settlement, supports them in beginning the transition process to sustainable living.
	New residents will be given additional education and support to assist in establishing and maintaining a sustainable lifestyle and integrate with the settlement activities and organization.
	We will provide significant public education about sustainable lifestyles and creating new settlements and city domains.

Colorado Kin's Domains is creating a core funding model that re-generates itself through investments, grants and services. The proceeds of this continually regenerating fund will be used to provide financial assistance to new groups forming all over North America.

Our organizational and funding model will be applicable and easily adaptable to other types of transitional settlements such as perma-culture and eco-villages. In addition to upgrading this country’s transition from non-sustainable living to infinitely sustainable and nurturing living, this model will have a tremendously beneficial impact on family health and education of children.

America can lead the world to sustainable living as it led the world into non-sustainable living, and this model will help make that so.

We believe this plan and model will have major and rapid impact in bringing infinitely sustainable living to average citizens of Colorado and North America who don't currently see how they can personally impact the need for sustainable living.  At this time in our history, 
Creating This New Lifestyle 
IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WE CAN DO.

The term "kin's domain" refers to a two and a half acre plot of land that each family will design and create for the purpose of restoring the land, feeding and nurturing themselves and selling or sharing excess food with others.  They will start off using a specific organic growing model (Anastasia's model) that is easier than farming and even easier than most gardening done today.  The model produces plants that are more nutritious and life supporting than any sold in stores today, including organic.

We have chosen the term "settlements" instead of "communities" in order to distinguish between highly controlled intentional communities, and this settlement plan, which encourages individual creativity and expression within a community demonstrating an infinitely sustainable lifestyle.
